Robert P. Cote, 69, of Manchester, died December 22, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Lewiston, ME on April 23, 1935, the son of Wilfred and Jeannette (Garon) Cote and had been a Manchester resident for the past 42 years. He was a graduate of St. Dominick High School in Lewiston and received a B.A. Degree from the University of Maine at Orono. After that, he joined the Army where he was a member of the 9th Division. Throughout most of his career, he was a meat salesman with various companies throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing cribbage and belonged to a cribbage league. He was a member of Prime Time and the Manchester Senior Center. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. He had also volunteered at CMC in the emergency room for two years until his illness. Family members include his wife of 43 years, Diane (Roy) Cote; three sons, David Cote of Manchester, Paul PC Cote of Boston, MA and Richard Cote of Manchester; a brother, Noah Cote and a sister, Lorraine Maguire both of Seabrook Beach, NH; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Committal services with military honors will take place at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen on Monday at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
