Robert W. Deyo "Punky" of 60 Town Crier Drive in Brattleboro. Passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Robert was born November 17, 1930, son of Harold and Grace (Thomas) Deyo. He graduated from Brattleboro High School in 1948. After graduating, "Punky" went to work for First National Grocery Store and then was employed by R.H. Hardware Co. as a bookkeeper and clerk. Robert served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean conflict aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway CVA 41. While in the service, Robert and Hazel (Marrion) were married on May 3, 1952. They would have celebrated 60 years this May. After the service he went back to R.H. Brown and Co. He later went to work at Deyo's Laundry as a partner with his brother Thomas and parents Harold and Grace Deyo, and managed a furniture store warehouse in CT. Robert and Hazel made their home in Windsor, CT for many years. Robert went into Real Estate and was affiliate with WM. R. Smith Reality until 1998. He then retired and moved to Lake Wales, Florida until 2010, then moved back to Brattleboro, VT. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Robert Deyo and his wife Sandra, and Michael Deyo and his wife Bonnie all of Windsor Locks, CT. Grandson Sean Deyo and his partner Casey of Boston, MA. Brother Thomas Deyo and his wife Janice of Vernon, VT., and Sister in Law Vera Deyo of Brattleboro, VT. He was predeceased by parents and a brother Harold and sister Barbara Putnam of Brattleboro. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Mass celebrated Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11 am, St. Michael Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Richard O'Donnell, V.F.
