Robert E. Doherty II, 39, of Goffstown, died in Manchester on June 16, 2004. He was born in Boston, MA on September 16, 1964, the son of Robert E. and Joyce (Jasper) Doherty and lived most of his life in Windham before moving to Goffstown six years ago. Robert was a 1983 graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry. He had been currently employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Prior to that, he worked for NH Boring in Londonderry. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Transfiguration. He loved to spend time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Family member include his mother of Manchester; his wife of five years, Nicole (Field) Doherty; a son, Robert E. Bobby Doherty III of Goffstown; a daughter, Taylor Doherty of Manchester; two sisters, Lorraine Gagnon and Carol Doherty, both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will follow on Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Church of the Transfiguration.
