ROBERT JOSEPH FINN

FRANCONIA, NH  Robert J. Finn, 77, passed away at the Littleton Regional Hospital on April 29, 2004.

Robert was born a son to William and Agnes (Barnes) Finn on May 3, 1926 in Littleton, NH.

Robert graduated from Littleton High School following which he served in the U. S. Navy during World War II on the USS Repose. He was employed by the State of New Hampshire as a ski patrol for Cannon Mountain. He also operated the Ariel Tramway and did various duties for the park including sign making which lead him to making signs as a part-time venture until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, wildlife, fishing, and going to the beach at the ocean. He was well known for his great sense of humor. Robert always had a joke to tell and loved to listen to them.

Robert served on the Franconia Fire Department and was a member of the VFW Howard Shawney Post #816.

Surviving family members includes his wife, Lucile (George) Finn of Franconia; one daughter, Nancy Belluscio and husband, Daniel of Spofford, NH; two grandsons, Gabriel and Malachi Belluscio; a sister, Irene Samson of Littleton; and a step-mother, Marion Finn.

SERVICES  A Graveside Service with Military Honors presented by the VFW Howard Shawney Post #816 will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Franconia on Monday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary A. Hart officiating. At the conclusion of the graveside service, there will be a reception at the Franconia Church of Christ.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, McGreal Sight Center, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301-9977.
