Listen to Obituary

Robert (Bob) L. Fortin, 60, of Goffstown, NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on Monday, March 23, 2026 in Concord, NH.

Bob was born on October 26, 1965, in Newport, VT, the youngest son of Viateur and Theresa (Perreault) Fortin.

He grew up playing soccer and hockey in Northern VT, whilst living on his family’s dairy farm. After marrying the love of his life, Kim, they made the move to Southern NH where they would spend the rest of their lives together, growing their family. Bob established his presence in the Goffstown community coaching his kids’ soccer teams and running Tri-Town Soccer Club (now Goffstown United) for many years - known to many as Coach Bob. Additionally, he was an avid golfer and appreciated various sports. He remained a loyal Boston sports fan over the years, with a special exception for the LA Rams. Bob was known for being a hardworking family-man, who cherished spending time and making memories with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and close friends. Whether time was spent at the family home in Goffstown, enjoying boat rides at Shadow Lake in VT, or taking people for golf cart rides in the community of his Florida retirement home; he prioritized living his life to the fullest surrounded by love and laughter. He loved his family dog, Cooper, tremendously. And Bob was infamous for loving nothing more than to putter around and fix things up - even when they didn’t need to be fixed in the first place.

Bob was also known for his successful career in the ATM and Banking equipment world, where he began humbly working as a service technician. Over the years, he transitioned into sales, building a strong presence in the New England region. In 2010 he made the leap of purchasing and establishing Customized Service Concepts, LLC. He owned, operated, expanded and accomplished great things with this business for 14 years with his wife, Kim, working by his side. In 2024 they sold the business and entered retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Kim (Baker) Fortin, of Goffstown, NH; a son, Michael Fortin and his fiancée, Morgan McCabe, of Concord, NH; a daughter, Taylor Paquette and her husband, Steven of Goffstown, NH; two grandchildren, Lillian and Samuel, three brothers, Richard Fortin, of Vermont; Mark Fortin and his wife Sandra, of Arizona; Marcel Fortin, of Vermont; five sisters, Cecile Gaboriault and her husband Claude, of Vermont; Irene Fortin, also of Vermont; Agnes St. Laurent, of Florida; Rachel Twofoot and her husband Keith, of Vermont; Annette Cross and her husband Steve, also of Vermont; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother, Guy Fortin; his mother, Theresa (Perreault) Fortin; and his father and step-mother, Viateur and Rita Fortin.

SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Lastly, a commemorative meal will take place at the Puritan Back Room in Manchester, NH at 4:30 p.m.

In addition to flowers, those who wish to make memorial contributions can donate to The Mayo Clinic, in honor of Bob and his fight against cancer. Without their expertise and guidance towards clinical trials, Bob would not have gotten to fight (and more importantly, live) for as long as he did to spend additional cherished time with his family & friends.
