Robert E. Gagnon, 70, of 26 Calef Road, Auburn, died June 26, 2002, at his residence after a long bout with cancer. He was born on February 12, 1932, in Somersworth, NH the son of the late Alfred and Emilienne (Charland) Gagnon and his step father Leo LeBel. Robert was a career Military man having served four years in the Navy and 17 years in the Air Force. He retired in 1971 with the rank of Tech. Sergeant. He was an electronic engineer and following his retirement from the Air Force he worked for several years for Jerry's Radio & TV in Nashua. He is predeceased by his first wife, Annette (Verville) Gagnon. Family members include his wife Roberta (Barrette) Gagnon of Auburn, two sons, Robert Gagnon of Hillsboro, NH and Richard Gagnon of Pensicola, Florida, two daughters Renee Roy of Manchester and Rhonda Phillips of Allenstown, his two step sons, James Calnan and Mark Calnan, both of Manchester, nine grandchildren, two step grandsons, two aunts, several nephews, nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday evening from 6 to 9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Peter Church, Auburn. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
