Born in Nesquehoning, PA on February 12, 1938, he was son of the late Michael Sr. and Mary (Drovshock) Lopata. He enjoyed 59 years of marriage with his wife, Grace (Genest) Lopata.

Bob was a member of the Mount Royal Club; a Scout Master and a volunteer at St. Peter's Orphanage. He also enjoyed softball, golf and dancing. Most of all, Bob was a devoted father and husband who worked hard to support his family. In addition to raising several children of their own, Bob and Grace fostered many children over the years. Bob will be best remembered as a friend and dad to hundreds.
