Robert Marois, 80, of Manchester, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Monday, May 12, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Saint-Jean-de-Beauce, Canada, he was the son of the late Ephrem and Antoinette (Sheink) Marois. Raised and educated in Canada, he relocated to New Hampshire where he married the love of his life, Lorraine (Cayer) Marois, and started a family.
A dedicated father and grandfather, Robert was the pillar of strength for his family. He cherished the company of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In his younger years, he delighted in camping, fishing, and just experiencing the outdoors. During retirement, Robert and Lorraine enjoyed spending time together at Foxwoods. He will be best remembered for his generosity and knack for creating nicknames for his friends and family.
Robert is survived by his four children, Lisa Caron and significant other, Harvey Gurney of Goffstown, Robert Marois Jr. and wife, Cindy of Manchester, Marc Marois and wife, Jennifer of Derry, and Cynthia Tweed and husband, Russell of CA; seven doting grandchildren, Regina, Ashley, Robert, Brittany, Marc Jr., Jacob, and Courtney; four great-grandchildren, Ramon, Jordan, Rosalie, and Ellis Roger; five siblings, Jean-Louis Marois, Liliane Dorval, Real Marois, Lucien Marois, and Gil Marois; and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine (Cayer) Marois.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Thursday, May 15, from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. His Memorial Service will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home on Friday, May 16 at 11:00A.M. Friends and relatives invited.
