Robert J. Mcvicar

Robert J. McVicar, 81, of 38 Bow Lake Road, died February 4, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born in Montreal, Canada on April 6, 1921, the son of James and Isabella (Dunn) McVicar and had been a New Hampshire resident for over thirty years. He was a WWII Canadian Air Force Veteran and also served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His military service spanned nine years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and bingo. He loved the spirit of the "Old West" and always could be seen wearing his cowboy hat. He was the widow of Jane (Ness) McVicar who died in 1998. He was predeceased by a son, Keith McVicar. Family members include his daughter, Ginger McHugh of Northwood, two step sons, Brian Morse of Hudson and Charles Boulba of NC; a step daughter, Frances Egan of Boston, MA; two grandchildren; two sisters and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday at 3:00 in the Dinning Hall at the Veterans Administration Medical Center on Smyth Road.
