Manchester- Robert. T. Mikan, 58, of 38 Bismark St died at home March 25, 2007. Born September 23rd, 1948 in Dover. He was the son of Robert N. and Mary E. (Moore) Mikan. Long time resident of Newmarket and Manchester. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Patrice (Mooney) Mikan, sister Nanci Mikan, and his children Julie A. Bradford, Jeremy E. Hickey and Joshua T. Mikan and was most proud of his grandchildren Kendrick Baker, Kristopher Baker and Taylor Mikan. In his life: He was a 1966 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from May 31, 1967 to May 11, 1971 where he graduated Honor Man August 1, 1967. He served in Vietnam in 1970-1971. He was a former State Judge Advocate, Chaplain and 100% District 6 Commander in the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New Hampshire and held many positions at his home Post 8214. He was a police officer in Newmarket from 1971-1977, the owner of the Lamprey Tavern (now Riverworks) in Newmarket until 1979. He moved to Manchester in 1981 where he worked for Clyde Bartlett Buick, Tables Unlimited in Goffstown, New Hampshire College (now SNHU). He then worked for the DOT Toll Division for 8 years in Bedford. He was an avid Red Sox, Notre Dame, and Patriots fan and was most passionate to the United States Marine Corps. Services: Calling Hours are at the phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Collidge Ave, Manchester on Wednesday from 4-8PM.
