Robert (Bob) N. Morin , 85 , of Manchester, died peacefully on July 19, 2008 at the Hospice House in Concord surrounded by his family. He was born on May 8, 1923 , in Sanford, Maine, the son of the late Rosario and Celestine (Bouffard) Morin. Mr. Morin's working life started with G.E. Supply Co. he left as branch manager. He retired from Seamans Supply with over 30 years of service. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Rita J. ( Giguere) Morin who died in 2002. He had a love for golf and was a longtime member of the Derryfield Country Club as well as the Londonderry Country Club. Family members includes two sons Richard Morin of Goffstown; Marc Morin of Manchester; two daughters Linda Ramos of Dorchester, MA and Donna Kristek of Keller TX; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers Real Morin of Calif.; Andre Morin of Maine and Paul Morin of N.H. and one sister Edith Hamel of Ocala , FL.; many nephews, nieces and cousins IN HIS LIFE – He leaved behind his two daughter in- laws Denise Morin of Goffstown and Brenda Morin of Manchester and his son-in law John Kristek of Keller, TX. He was predeceased by a sister Leona Lantagne of Sanford, Maine. He enlisted in the Armed Services in 1941 and served with honor through 1945. He served with the 8th Air Force out of England as a ball-turret gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber. Bob re-enlisted in the N.H. Air National Guard in 1956-1962 and served during the Berlin Crisis. He was a Charter Member of V.F.W. Post 8214 member of the Swiss Internees Association, 458th Bomb group veterans second air division Assoc., American Legion Sweeney Post and League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. . Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4pm, 7-9pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St. Manchester. A memorial service will be on Wednesday at the N.H. State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen. . In lieu of flowers donations may be make to Hospice House, Concord VNA 240 Pleasant street, Concord, NH 03302. For more information go to www.phaneuf.net
