Robert J. Nickerson

Robert J. "Bobby" Nickerson, 58, of Salisbury died Thursday, December 15th following a courageous battle against cancer.

Bobby was born in Malden, MA on September 25, 1953, the son of the late Charles and Estelle (Clucas) Nickerson. He moved with his family to Salisbury, NH in 1964 and graduated from Merrimack Valley High School, class of 1971.

He was a self employed carpenter who enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, playing horseshoes, tinkering with computers and playing the acoustic guitar. Described by his family as a very kind and generous man, he had many caring friends and was always eager to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna (Morse) Nickerson; two sons, Daniel Nickerson of Concord and Jonathan Nickerson of Franklin; three sisters, Mary and her husband Gary Chaffee of Danbury, Barbara and her husband Gary Matulitis of Manchester, CT, and Estelle and her husband Don Braley of Concord; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Michael Nickerson.

Services will be held on Friday, December 23rd. If there is no snow on the ground, committal services will be held graveside at Maplewood Cemetery on Route 4 in Salisbury at 1:00pm. If there is snow on the ground, services will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen, time is to be determined.
