Robert L. Owen, 86 passed away Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Applewood Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born February 18, 1926 in Hinsdale the son of Clayton and Ellen (Smith) Owen. Mr. Owen had served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was married to Ruth Potter on Dec.19, 1964. Mr. Owen had worked as a School Bus Driver for 26 years for schools in the towns of Hinsdale , Keene, Brattleboro and Vernon. He also drove for numerous sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Owen of Hinsdale, his son Keith K. Owen and
His companion Tracy Ames of Hinsdale and one sister, Esther Pierce and her husband Wayne of Ocala, FL
He is also survived by one grandchild, Aleah Owen
Robert was predeceased by two brothers, David and Edmund and one sister Rosalie Owen.
Graveside committal services and interment will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery Hinsdale on Saturday Oct. 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
