Concord, NH - Robert L. Phelan, 78, U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, passed away on January 4, 2011, at the CRVNA Hospice House in Concord. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary L. (Grant) Phelan.
Born in Arlington, MA, Bob was the son of the late Arthur Leonard Phelan and Maria (Geeraerts) Phelan.
A business owner and salesman throughout most of his life, Bob retired in 2010. He was a man of great faith and was a dedicated communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry and CRVNA Hospice House, all of Concord, NH. He was blessed to have such dear friends whom he greatly cherished. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association.
Bob was very dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tanya Phelan of Concord, NH; his daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Rod Davidson of Londonderry NH; his daughter Colleen Nolet and fiance Hank Attanasio of Manchester, NH; his daughter Arleen Phelan and fiance Henry Crowley of Boscawen, NH; his daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Ritchie Pruitt of Manchester, NH. Bob was so proud of his fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no services.
