Mr. Robert A. Rocheleau, 81, of Manchester died October 10, 2006 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford following a short illness.

Born on April 19, 1925 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Adam and Bertha (Bineau) Rocheleau. He was educated in the Manchester school system. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Mr. Rocheleau worked as a truck driver at the former Coastal Tank Line in Manchester and Manchester Coal and Oil.

During World War II and the Korean Conflict he served in the US Navy. He was with the Navy Seabees.

Mr. Rocheleau was a member of the Union Local #633 during his career. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church where he was an active member. He was a mass server, member of the choir and on the activity committee at the church.

He enjoyed playing pool after his retirement. He enjoyed playing pool at the American Legion Jutras Post and at the Alpine Club. He also liked traveling in his motorcoach to Florida, Maine and the Cape. Mr. Rocheleau was an avid woodcraftsman. He enjoyed all aspects of the craft from design, construction and finished carpentry.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Joan (Brown) Rocheleau of Manchester, 3 sons, Lionel Rocheleau of Merrimack, James Rocheleau of Arizona and Ronald Rocheleau of New York; 2 daughters, Kathy Vincent of Auburn and Cheryl Dubois of Goffstown; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Raymond Rocheleau of Mnachester, 1 sister, Rachel Radwan of Manchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In His Life: He was survived by his 6 grandchildren, Jillian Patrick of Hooksett, Adam Rocheleau of Merrimack, Sue Ellen Romero of New Mexico, Andrew Vincent of Bedford, Benjamin Dubois of Portland, ME and Brian Dubois of Goffstown and his 3 great grandchildren, Nicholas Vincent, Noah Romero and Samuel Patrick. He was predeceased by his sister Rita Linskui.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave. on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Patrick Church. Encryptment will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
