Robert A. Soucy, 67, of 73 Mount Delight Road, Deerfield, NH died August 30, 2001, in Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Ma. He was born in Manchester, NH on August 4, 1934, the son of the late Philemon and Malvina (Audet) Soucy and had been a resident of the Manchester and Pinardville area for most of his life, moving to Deerfield 1 ½ years ago. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Robert was currently working part-time at Alpha Courier. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars in Pinardville. Mr. Soucy worked most of his career life in the heating oil business and he was very active and handy. He will affectionately be remembered by family and friends with a cigar in his mouth. Family members include his wife of 46 years Doris (Duchesne) Soucy of Deerfield, two sons, Kirk Soucy of Manchester and Keith Soucy of Wakefield, Ma., a daughter Kristine Soucy of Deerfield, five granchildren, three brothers, Ronald Soucy, Real Soucy, both of Manchester and Richard Soucy of Massachusetts, a sister Mrs. Leo (Rita) Roy of Gofftown, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Edmond Church. Burial with military honors will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Boscawen NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
