Robert P. Thompson

Robert P. “Hank” Thompson, 85, of Manchester, NH passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his residence in Manchester, NH. 

Mr. Thompson was born on November 11, 1937, in Charlestown, MA, the son of the late Leo F. and Gertrude (Melanfy) Thompson, later moving to Somerville for his school years.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Thompson worked for Staffing Network, where he held the position of facilities manager.  

He was an avid sports fan, especially the New England Patriots, celebrating with appropriate touchdown music when the score allowed. He also enjoyed reading.

Members of his family include; his wife of 49 ½ years, Patricia A. (Sullivan) Thompson, of Manchester, NH; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews throughout Massachusetts. He will be dearly missed by his beloved friends, the original corner boys from Jaques and Grant Streets.

Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his 5 siblings.   

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:30 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
