Roberta M (Martin) Mathews, 71, passed away Sunday, December 6th, at Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord NH. She was born June 29, 1949 in Concord NH and was the daughter of Kenneth S. Martin and Permelia (LaValley) Still. She was the Wife of Bruce R Mathews and they were married in Concord NH in June of 1969.

She was a graduate of Concord High school, class of 1967 where she was a member of the Colorguard. After High school She attended school in Boston and worked in The registrars office at St. Pauls school in Concord, NH for several years. Later she went on to pursue a nursing degree from NHTI. She worked at the Concord Clinic (which later became Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic) and at Pleasant Street Family Medicine, In Concord NH. After she retired she would often run into former patients who would share stories of what a wonderful caring nurse they remembered her being. She enjoyed skiing, reading, cross stitching and traveling with Bruce. She had a fondness for animals and especially her dog, Lucy. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, and they remember her teaching them to bake Christmas Cookies and pies for Thanksgiving.

She is Survived by her spouse of 51 years, Bruce Mathews. Her 3 sisters Dianna Powers, Aleene Hastings, Carolyn Lewis. Her brother John Martin. Her Children Holly Smart and Christopher Mathews. Her grandchildren Brianna Morin, Chanya Smart, Lydia Perkins, Kenneth "Buddy" Smart and Emilee Smart. Her great grandchildren Scarlett and Elijah Morin and Julianna Perkins. And many nieces, nephews and sisters/brother in laws.

Due to Covid-19 the family will be having a private funeral on December 16th, 2020. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH.

In lieu of Flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Roberta's name to the Dementia Society or Alzheimer's association of your choice
