RODNEY R. LAFOND, JR.
LAWRENCE, MA – Rodney R. Lafond, Jr, 37, died on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Lafond was born on September 27, 1973, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, the son of Rodney R. and Claire (Martel) Lafond, Sr. He was a long time resident of Derry, NH and in 1991 graduated from Pinkerton Academy. He went on to graduate from the University of NH.
Mr. Lafond was owner and operator of Streetwise Auto Repair, in Sommerville, Massachusetts, for the past 8 years.
He enjoyed classic cars and was an avid sports fan. Other hobbies include; boating, water skiing. Mr. Lafond was very active with the Daniel Webster Council and was a Silver Palm Eagle Scout.
Members of his family in addition to his parents include; his son, Rodney R. Lafond, III, and daughter, Hayley K. Lafond, of Londonderry, NH; one sister, Michelle I. Lafond Stock, of Manchester; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Bradley, of Exeter, NH; one nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, August 22, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
