Roger M. Collins, Sr. 68, of Manchester died on May 30, 2014 with his family by his side at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. He was the son of the late Raymond and Marie (Paquette) Collins.
A Vietnam Veteran, Roger was a proud Marine serving from 1965 to 1968. He was awarded 3 Purple Hearts during his 3 tours of service. For many years he was an over the road truck driver.
Roger was active in his church and community and volunteered his time with the RSVP Program at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. He was a 4th Degree Knight and a member of Marian Council 5748 at St. Catherine Siena Parish.
Roger is survived by his wife, Lyn R. (Fulciniti) Collins; 4 brothers, Paul, Raymond, Roland, and Alfred; 3 sisters, Delia, Doris, and Madeline; 2 sons, Robert Collins and his wife Marci, Roger Collins Jr. and his wife Kathi; a daughter Alycia Surdam and her husband Steven; and 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, and his former wife Arlene. He was pre-deceased by his brother George Collins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 3rd from 4- to 8 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St. (Corner of Union St.) Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Catherine Siena Parish, 207 Hemlock St. (Corner of Webster St.) Manchester on Wednesday June 4th at 10:30 am.
