Roger Durette
Boynton Beach, FlaâRoger Durette, 81, of Boynton Beach, Fla passed away September 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Arthur and Celestine (Goupil) Durette. Roger was also raised and educated in Manchester and was married to Mary (Desrochers) Durette for 60 wonderful years.
Prior to retirement from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department, Roger worked as a correction officer for the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. After he retired, Roger and Mary relocated to Boynton Beach, Fla. and enjoyed spending time in the company of his loving family and friends, traveling and going out to dinner.
A devoted family man and husband, Roger was a generous and wonderful dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He had the patience of a saint, his family was paramount in his life and he will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his children, Robert (wife Ann) Durette of Salem, NH, and Celeste Cossingham of Boynton Beach, Fla., his grandchildren, Colleen Mitchell, Jacqueline Pinkerton, Michelle Boyce and Christopher Cossingham, his great grandchildren, Finneghan McMinn, Emma Pinkerton, and Harper Lennon, his sister in law Lucille Durette, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends. Roger was predeceased by his brothers Joseph "Mike" Durette, Louis Durette, and his sister Lucille Luiz.
Arrangements: Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH. All are invited to attend a committal service with Army Honors, at St Augustin's Cemetery S.
