Roger J. Gagnon, 77, of 369 East Durbarton Road, Goffstown, died May 12, 2001 at his residence. He was born in Manchester on August 27, 1924, the son of Ernest and Alice Gagnon and had been a Goffstown resident for most of his life. He was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Pacific and the China-Burma Theatres. He was awarded two Purple Hearts during the war. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legional Post # 79. Roger enjoyed traveling on his Harley Davidson. He was a motorcycle race promotor for many years and founded Jolly Roger Moto-Sports Park in Lempster, NH. He was the widower of Dorothy ''Dot'' (Carbee) Gagnon who died in 1991. Family members include two sons, Marc Gagnon and Denis Gagnon both of E. Lempster, NH, one grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM at the family residence, 369 E. Dunbarton Road, Goffstown, NH 03045. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
