Roger L. Gamache

Roger L. Gamache, 89, of 111 Morgan Street, died October 25, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on April 20, 1914, the son of Alcide and Athaia (Gamache) Gamache and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He had been a self employed building contractor for over thirty years in the Manchester area. He was a member of the American Legion Jutras Post and belonged to the Last Mans Club. He was also a member of the 81st Infantry Division. He was the widower of Cora (Tondreau) Gamache who died in 1995. Family members inlcude his daughter, Anne-Marie Gamache of Manchester; two sisters, Marcelle Gamache of Manchester and Carmen Brady of Farmington; two nephews and several cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 AM. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. After cremation, a graveside committal service will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM.
