Roger I. Grace, 68, of 108 South Wilson St., Manchester, NH, died February 9, 2000 at his residence. He was born in Long Branch, NJ on November 22, 1931, the son of the late William and Mary (Hutton) Grace and had resided most of his life in Deerfield and Manchester, NH. He attended the Morse School in Bath, ME and later attended Suffield and Deerfield Academies in Massachusetts. He attended the University of Maine at Oreno and the University of Chattanooga in Tennessee. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He had worked as a sales representative for General Electric and Colgate Palmolive. After that, he worked for 12 years for Pneutek Company in Hudson, NH until his retirement. He was a member and past president of the Pinardville Lions Club. While in Deerfield, he was very active with the Deerfield Little League, the Deerfield Fair and the Deerfield Community Church. Family members include two sons, Curtis Grace of Portsmouth, NH and Peter Grace of Oak Park, IL; a daughter, Jennifer Tylar Grace of Middleton, MA; one grandchild; three brothers, Victor Grace of Cundy's Harbor, ME, George Grace of Albuquerque, NM and Oscar Marsh of Bath, ME; a sister, Marjorie Grace of CA; and several nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Deerfield Community Church with the Rev. Carol Meredith officiating. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH is in charge of arrangements.
