Roger S. Kidder, Sr., 74, of Hooksett, passed away on March 26, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by his children.
He was born in Lebanon on December 15, 1936, the son of the late Ralph and Ethel (Wheeler) Kidder and had been a Hooksett resident for the past 43 years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was hard working and owed and operated his own towing company, and had also worked in different areas of construction for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, hunting, and attending local fairs and horse pulling competitions.
In His Life: Family members include his wife of 49 years, Edith (Buswell) Kidder; a son Roger S. âSatchâ Kidder, Jr., of Hooksett; two daughters, Dodie Kidder and her long time companion Phillip Wight of Pembroke, and Heather Proulx and her husband Greg of Manchester; four grandchildren, Abbie Proulx, Jesse Roberge, Jayme Roberge and Paris Wight; and one niece, Sue Almeida of Dover. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher âChipâ Peavey in 2007 and by a sister, Roxie Robichaud.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Committal services with military honors will take place at Valley Cemetery, Lebanon on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM. For more information, go to www.phaneuf.net
