Roger L. Kramer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away after a brief illness on June 9th, 2024 at the age of 89. Roger was born in Ashland, NH on September 7th, 1934. At the time of his death, Roger was a resident of South Bristol, Maine and Bedford, NH. He was the son of Gladys (Wilmot) and George Kramer. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Oren Kramer.
Roger believed that everything in life begins and ends with family. His life’s goals were simple: to have a loving marriage, raise a family, and provide for their every need, so they could grow into independent adults. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carmen [Chalifour] Kramer; his children Juliette Tourville; Marc Kramer and his wife Denise [Constant]; Suzanne Kramer; Ann-Marie Blais and her husband Timothy; and Kim Crowley and her husband Cy. He enjoyed his relationship with his grandchildren Danielle O’Keefe (married to Michael); Nicole Kramer (married to Jory Smith); Brianna Makarevich (married to Andy), Jake Crowley and Drew Crowley. He had the joy of knowing his great-grandchildren Amelia and Arthur O’Keefe and Mason and Reid Makarevich.
After serving three years in the army, Roger had a gratifying professional career in computer technology. He retired from Houghton-Mifflin Publishing Company after 25 years. He was highly respected for his commitment and diligence to his work.
Roger had many interesting hobbies. He was an accomplished photographer who focused on capturing the beauty of his surroundings and sharing that perspective with others. He also was a talented woodworker, creating many unique and personal pieces for those he loved. His talents allowed him at a young age to join the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in Concord, NH. Roger’s deep appreciation for nature and the creatures of his world was evident in the care he gave to his beautiful gardens, beehives, and pets.
Roger Kramer’s dedication to his family as well as his creativity has brought joy to all who knew him. He will be missed forever.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Anne’s Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 am. The service will also be available via livestream at
https://saintannechurchnh.org/livestream. A private burial will take place at a later date. Should friends and family desire, memorial donations can be made to a charity of their choice.
