Roger M. Poirier, 86, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown, surrounded by his family.
Born in Troy, VT, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Langevin) Poirier. He was employed as a machinist at Summit Packaging for 35 years.
Roger was a quiet man who took great pleasure in the little things in life. He was an avid reader and a dedicated member of the former St. Edmond Church. He was deeply appreciative of the exceptional care he received at Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
Roger is survived by his brother, Robert Poirier of Manchester; his sister, Evelyn Letendre of Bedford and New Castle; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Roger was predeceased by his sister, Jeannine Labrie.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Tuesday, July 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 with a Funeral Service at 7:00P.M. Friends and relatives welcome. Committal will be held privately.
