ROGER H. SARGENT
LITTLETON, NH - Roger H. Sargent, 90, formerly of Pine Street, died on April 30, 2009 at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Wilmington, MA.
He was born April 18, 1919, in Littleton to Howard and Marion (Mills) Sargent and lived his entire life in Littleton before entering the nursing home in November 2008. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the European theatre with the U.S. Army 7th Armored Division. He was employed for a number of years at Norton Pike and then spent 30 years working as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1983.
Family members include his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte Sheehy Sargent, currently of Wilmington, MA; his children, Dennis Sargent and wife, Elissa of Concord, MA, David Sargent and wife, Darlene of Bedford, NH, Diane and husband, Anthony Dinardo of Plymouth, NH, and Deborah Sargent and companion Kelley Cronin of Framingham, MA; five granddaughters; a brother, Donald Sargent of Littleton; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
SERVICES Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Sam Newton officiating.
