Andy Sundeen, Long Time Appliance Store Owner Roger A. "Andy" Sundeen, 78, of Manchester, died November 5, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Beverly, MA on September 25, 1930, the son of Roger and Alma (Akeson) Sundeen and had been a Manchester resident for most of his life. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran. For over 40 years, he owned and operated Sundeen Appliances. Currently, he had been working for Fletcher's Appliance. He was a member of the Manchester Country Club and an avid golfer. He enjoyed listening to classical music and opera, reading, and vacationing on the Maine coast where he loved to watch the sailboats. Family members include his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Belanger) Sundeen; a son, Douglas Sundeen of Manchester; three daughters, Kimberly Mueller of Holden, MA, Susan Choi of Manchester and Jennifer Sundeen of Berkley, CA; seven grandchildren; a twin sister, Janet Wright of Kennebunkport, ME; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday morning at 10:00 AM.
