Roland A Belanger, 75, of Goffstown, NH, passed away suddenly on June 16, 2025. Born on January 24, 1950, in Lewiston Maine, Roland was a man whose life was defined by his love of music and the warmth he shared with family and friends. In his earlier years he could be seen playing in bars and clubs in the Manchester and Auburn areas as well as private parties and events. Whether on stage or around a campfire with friends, Roland found joy in sharing his music. A talented guitarist and singer, he played with passion and took pride in his collection of guitars.
Roland attended Manchester Memorial High School in Manchester NH, graduating in 1968. Over the years he worked in the service department for Mack Trucks in Manchester, and later for Continental PET Technologies in Bedford.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Belanger, and his eldest brother, Richard (Dick) Belanger (Candice Evans) of Ocean View DE. He is survived by his three siblings: Robert (Norm) Belanger (Amy Sullivan) of Auburn NH, Eileen Serratore (Joe Serratore) of Bow, NH and David Belanger of Charlestown RI, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a gathering on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. The burial will follow services, taking place at Auburn Village Cemetery on Eaton Hill Road (next to the Auburn Village School) in Auburn, NH at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland’s memory to the Goffstown Public Library Foundation.
Roland will be remembered for his love of family, and the music he so freely shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
