Roland R. "Butch" Boucher, 84, of Manchester, passed away at the Hospice House in Concord on October 31, 2011.
He was born in Manchester on May 2, 1926, the son of Wilfred and Regina (Boudreau) Boucher, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was also a member of both the Air and Army National Guard for many years. He worked as a civil engineer for the City of Manchester Planning Department for many years until his retirement. Prior to that he had worked for Hoyle and Tanner. He was a member of the Intervale Country Club, the VFW and the American Legion Jutras Post.
Family members include his wife of 63 years, Irma (Pilotte) Boucher; three sons, Reginald Boucher and his wife Linda of Bradenton, FL, Raymond Boucher and Leo Boucher, both of Manchester; two daughters, Claire Smith and her husband Dana of Carey, NC, and Annette McLaughlin and her husband Michael of Manchester; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, Wilfred Boucher, Jr. of Manchester; a sister, Jeanne d'Arc Martin of PA; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday morning at 10:00.
