Mr. Roland R. Cote, 62, of Manchester, NH died unexpectedly November 17, 2009 at his home. He was born on April 16, 1947 to the son of the late Eugene and Lillian (Soucy) Cote. He was raised and educated in Manchester. He served his country proudly for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and saw active duty during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969. Roland was employed by New England Telephone for 10 years but his desire to be self employed and with the gifting of an entrepreneur, Roland established 4 successful businesses. Cotes Diner , Cotes Manor an Assisted Living Facility, Homes and Land Magazine and Cotes Carpet Cleaning which has been well established in our community for the past 28 years. Roland was loved as a husband, a father and a grandfather. His favorite past times was sharing his life with his daughter, Caren and 3 grand children and friends. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, dinners with family and friends and the movies. In His Life: He is survived by his daughter, Caren Dempsey of Manchester, three grandchildren, Hailey, Connor and David Dempsey; longtime companion and best friend, Lauri Ryan-DAquino; three step sons, Samuel, Benjamin and Joseph Ryan; sister, Carmen Lapointe of Canada and her family. His gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester on Sunday from 2:00PM to 3:30PM with his Memorial Service at 3:30PM in the Funeral Home.
