Roland G. Montminy, 74, of 157 Blutcher Street, died February 9, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in St. Isidore, PQ Canada on May 3, 1932, the son of George and Alderie (Gagne) Montminy and had been a Manchester resident for the past forty years. He had worked as a carpenter at St. Anslem College for sixteen years, retiring several years ago. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Family members include his wife of 55 years, Janine (Houle) Montminy; three sons, Guy Montminy and Jean Montminy of Manchester and Gilles Montminy of Hooksett; two daughters, Susan Marchand of Goffstown and Debra Labarre of Manchester; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; five sisters, Yvette Dodier, Rhea Montminy, Monique Dube, Reina Belanger and Sister Edwina Montminy, all of Canada; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday February 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning February 24 at 10:00 in St. Anselm Abby. Urn burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
