Roland Marcel Morin, Sr., 88 years of age, of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones at Catholic Medical Center of heart failure.
Roland was born in the State of Vermont. He served in the U.S. army as a cook where he discovered his love of cooking. He worked as a shoe machinist for over 45 years, at which time he retired. He enjoyed trips to California, watching a good hockey game, cooking great food, smoking a good cigar, sipping on a fine wine, swinging on the slots, and enjoying his family. It has been said that Roland felt that his greatest wealth was his family.
Roland is survived by his wife, Marilyn, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage; his five children, Darlene, Roland Jr., Patricia, Madeleine, and Rene; fourteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was loved by many.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 10:00A.M. to 12:00P.M. followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00P.M.
