Roland Therrien, 86, of 55 Amory Street, and formerly of 577 Hevey Street, died suddenly at his home January 4, 2000. He was born in Manchester on May 21, 1913, the son of Donat and Yvonne (Chauvette) Therrien and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He was a foreman for various local shoe companies for many years. Roland was a parishioner of St. Jean Baptiste Church and the widower of Aline ((Paquette) Therrien who died in 1991. Family members include his son, Donald Therrien of Laconia, his daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Pauline) Hanson of Hudson, NH, his predeceased son, Norman Therrien who died in 1997, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two brothers, Marcel Therrien and Lucien Therrien, both of Manchester, five sisters, Simone Paquette, Lillian Beaudet, Gertrude Bertrand, Carmel Miller, all of Manchester and Laurette Maheu of Florida, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 o'clock, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 o'clock in St. Jean Baptiste Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
