Roland Joseph Voisine, Jr. (Rollie, Poppa), 61, passed away on January 8th, 2024, with his family at his side after a brief battle with Glioblastoma (brain cancer).
He was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, but recently moved to Greenville, South Carolina with his beloved wife, Donna, of 31 years, to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren.
Rollie was a hard worker, a caring friend, and the most social man in the group. He ran the family excavation business, was an avid hunter, golf enthusiast, thoroughly enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and more than anything – he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was the person you could count on to give you the shirt off his back, the man who brought a smile to your face, brought a laugh to the room with his infamous jokes, and always made sure you were having a great time. Rollie was blessed with love in his life; not only by his family but all who knew him, loved him.
Roland was born in New Britain, Connecticut on August 5th, 1962 to Roland J. Voisine, Sr. and Minnie Stanley Voisine of Manchester. In addition to his parents, Roland leaves behind his beloved wife Donna Voisine with whom he had a son, Roland J. Voisine III, and his two children, Kaiden and Hali Voisine. Roland also leaves behind his daughter Ashley (Voisine) Watts and her husband Tommie, and their three children, Lincoln and Monroe Watts of Greer, SC, and Destini Watts of Clinton Township, MI and daughter Corrine (Voisine) Dicey, and her four children, Andrew and Jacob Voisine, Leah and Maya Dicey of Inman, SC. Roland was the oldest of 4 children. He will be missed by his sister Karen (David) Ledoux of Hooksett, Kevin Voisine Sr., and David (Vickie) Voisine Sr. both of Manchester. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that he adored. He is predeceased by his sister-in-law Susan Voisine.
In honor of Rollie, family and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Monday, January 22nd from 4-8pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 10:00am in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
