Mrs. Rolande (Franck) Cormier, 83, of Bedford, NH died September 30, 2007 at Harborside Northwood in Bedford following a long illness. She was born on March 1, 1924 in St. Agatha, Maine, the daughter of James and Alma (Gagnon) Franck. She was educated in Maine, was salutatorian of her high school class and graduated from Husson College for Women in Houlton, Maine. She had lived in Van Buren, ME until 1960 when she moved to Bedford where she lived until her death. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. She had a passion for reading and was known to read a book a day. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting. She traveled extensively with her husband. As a young woman, she had enjoyed hunting, fishing and canoeing. She is survived by her 2 sons, Stephen J. Cormier of Marco Island, FL and John E. Cormier of New Boston, NH; 3 daughters, Linda A. DeMaio of Sandwich, NH, Susan M. Vaillancourt of Greenfield, NH and Jane M. Shea of Manchester, NH; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Franck Jr. of Van Buren, ME and Donald Franck of Van Buren, ME; 3 sisters, Vivian Franck of South Portland, ME, Rochelle Chawner of Long Island, NY and Joan Bauer of La Jolla, California and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Roger G. Cormier who died in 1993. Her Funeral Service will be private. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford at the convenience of the family.
