Romeo Lavigne, 93, of 12 Warren Avenue, Manchester, died January 22, 2000, at Courville At Manchester. He was born in Biddeford, Maine on September 21, 1906, the son of Augustin and Bella (Girouard) Lavigne and had been a resident of Manchester for the past 55 years and previously lived many years in Biddeford, Maine. Romeo was a painter with Workplace Systems for 16 years and previously worked for Hermsford Manufacturing for many years. He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood Monastery and Union St. Jean Baptiste. Family members include his wife of 67 years Jeannette (Daudelin) Lavigne of Manchester, six sons, Roland Lavigne of Goffstown, NH, Roger Lavigne of New Durham, NH, Renauld Lavigne of Goffstown, Richard Lavigne of Alburquerke, New Mexico, Rene Lavigne of Goffstown and Robert Lavigne of Franklin seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Beatrice Daudelin and Theresa Croteau, both of Biddeford, Maine, several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Edmond Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
