Ronald E. Field

Mr. Ronald E. Field died on May 13, 2007 at the Concord VNA Hospice House after a battle with cancer. He was born in Limerick, Maine on August 19, 1931 the son of the late Archie and Ruth (Stacey) Field. He spent his early years in Limerick, Maine until his family moved to Manchester, NH in the mid 1940’s and later moving to Goffstown in the early 1980’s. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He is a member of the American Legion. He spent over 25 years in the boat building business working on sailboats up to Coast Guard Cutters. His favorite pastimes besides his grandchildren, was reading, fishing and hunting and enjoying time with his dog and watching the birds. Family members include his wife of 30 years, Joan (Turcotte) Field, two step-sons, Harry B. Hull, II of Auburn, NH and Kenneth R. Hull of Weare, NH; one step-daughter, Sharon Tonas of Fremont, NH; four children from a former marriage, two sons, Ronald Field of Manchester and Daniel Field of Florida; two daughters, Susan Gookin and Christine Lange both of Florida; one sister, Margaret St. Pierre of Manchester; a brother, Maurice Field of Florida and many grandchildren. In His Life: He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Poulin. Service: His Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by his Memorial Service in the Phaneuf Funeral Home Chapel, 243 Hanover St, Manchester at 10:30 AM.
