Ronald J. Holloway, 61, of Franklin, NH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Ronald was born in Derry, NH, September 17, 1962, to Raymond Sr. and Ruth (Bennett) Holloway, and was raised in St. Johnsbury, VT. He attended St. Johnsbury Academy and enlisted in the Army in 1981. He was honorably discharged in 1985 after four years of distinguished service. Ronald eventually relocated to NH where he lived for more than 25 years until his passing and enjoyed a fulfilling 25-year-long career in manufacturing with NH Plastics, which was later purchased by Grimco.
Ronald had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors and spent much of his free time fishing and kayaking. He also enjoyed playing miniature golf, bowling, visiting Funspot, and frequenting the casinos. Though Ronald has many hobbies and passions, he loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. He was a quiet, gentle, and generous soul who often preferred to open up only to those who took the time to get to know him, and it is those who got the opportunity to love him who will miss him dearly.
Ronald is survived by his siblings, James Holloway of NC, Raymond Holloway Jr. of Montpelier, VT, Donna Degree and her husband David of St Johnsbury, VT, Blaine Holloway of St Johnsbury, VT, and Linda Savage of Lyndonville, VT; nieces Dawn McDonald and her husband Christopher of Weare, NH, Mercedes Cruz and her husband Alex of Franklin, NH, Sierra McDonald of Weare, NH, Shawna Holloway of Dayton, ME, and Ashley Degree of St Johnsbury, VT, as well as several other nieces and nephews; and his great-great nephew Grayson Wills of Weare, NH. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Susan Frost and his sister-in-law Aryn Holloway.
