Ronald D. Huntley, 56, of 125 Cartier Street, died April 28, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Machias, ME, on June 29, 1948, the son of Ralph and Beatrice (Hatt) Huntley. He grew up in Machias and attended school there until he joined the U.S. Army where he honorably served for three years. He had had been a Manchester resident for the past 18 years. He worked for many years in the moving industry for several local companies including Diggins & Rose and Ray the Mover. Throughout his life, he was a pashionate bass fisherman. He was a member of the Amoskeag Bass Anglers Club and participated in many tournaments. He also loved spending time with his two granddaughters. Family members include his wife of 34 years, Cynthia (Hirko) Huntley; two daughters, Jessica Huntley of Raymond and Theresa Troutman of Dunbarton; two grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd White of East Machias, ME and Wendell White of Machias, ME; five sisters, Maxine Colbeth of Bucks Harbor, ME, Connie Wood of Machias, ME, Sandra Diffin of Chino Valley, AZ, Elinda Denell of Milford and Dottie Dennison of E. Machias, ME; and many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM.
