Ronald E. Johnson, 60, of Manchester, passed away on March 16, 2010 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on July 20, 1949, the son of David and Lena (Roustas) Johnson and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of West High School and attended the NH Voc Tech. He had worked for the State of New Hampshire Department of Transporation as a toll attendant for eleven years. He was an avid card player and especially enjoyed playing cribbage. He enjoyed nature, going to the zoo and the beach. He also loved playing miniature golf. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. In His Life: Family members include his wife of 28 years, Pauline (Gardner) Johnson; his mother of Manchester; two brothers, Ralph Johnson and his wife Hope of Raymond and Rodney Johnson and his companion Jim Sheehan of MA; a sister, Sandy Pinsonneault and her husband Dick of FL; his mother-in-law, Violette (Veilleux ) Gardner of Manchester; two brothers-in-law, Emile Gardner of Goffstown and Maurice Gardner of Bow; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Loftus and Priscille Edwards, both of Manchester and Rachel Young of Bow; nephews, nieces and cousins and some very special friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Johnson. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
