Ronald ‘Ron’ McDaniel, of Boscawen NH, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 13th.

He was born October 3, 1941 in Linton Indiana to Lester and Beulah McDaniel.

Shortly after graduation from Linton High School, he joined the US Navy, proudly serving from 1959-1962.

While on leave from the Navy, Ron came to NH and met the love of his life, Gloria Balch. Together they shared 44 years of marriage until her passing in 2006.

His career spanned many years in the banking/finance industry. After 38 years as Director of Services at The NHADA, Ron retired in 2017. He loved his NHADA family.

He was a volunteer firefighter with the Boscawen Fire Department from 1967 until his passing. He loved serving his community as well as the Monday night meetings and the camaraderie that came along with it.

He is predeceased by his parents, Lester and Beulah, his brother Ralph, sisters Ruth and Ruby, as well as his wife Gloria.

Ron is survived by his 3 children Craig McDaniel (Wendy Moses), Jill Huckins (Bruce), Beth McDaniel (Brian Corson); his adopted daughter Sonya Tomlin; treasured grandchildren Meghan Clark (Cody), Logan McDaniel (Joardyn); his cherished great grandchildren Rylee Jean, Madison Ann, Charlie Mae, Walker David; his sister Roselyn and his companion for the last 9 years Joyce Hennette.

Services are as follows:

Calling hours on Friday, Oct 17th from 3-8pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes - 172 King St. Boscawen, NH.

Celebration of Life will be Graveside on Saturday, Oct 18th at 10am at Woodlawn Cemetery in Penacook. Immediately following will be a gathering at Alans Restaurant in Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boscawen Firefighters Relief Fund.
