Ronald P. Soucy, 68 of 75 George Street, Manchester, died July 24, 2004 at Concord Hospital. He was born in Manchester on December 6, 1935, the son of Philemon and Malvina (Audet) Soucy and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era and also served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard for 8 years. He had worked for Freudenberg N.O.K. for several years until his retirement. Prior to that, he had been employed by Prevue Products. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Transfiguration. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to spend time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Doris (Lafond) Soucy; two sons, Ronald Soucy of East Hartford, CT and Steven Soucy of Bedford; a daughter, Pamela Beliveau of Goffstown; six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; two brothers, Real Soucy of Andover and Richard Soucy of MA; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Rita) Roy of Goffstown; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Church of the Transfiguration. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
