Rosa G. (Alverez) DaSilva, 78, of Manchester, passed away October 8, 2009 at Bedford Hills Nursing Home in Bedford. She was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on August 14, 1931, the daughter of Carlos and Marianna (Anastacia) Alverez, and had been a Manchester resident for the past 27 years. She was the widow of Rubin DaSilva who died in 1995. She worked at Kennebunk Weavers, Inc for ten years in Suncook and also worked at Hannaford Stores in Manchester for seven years. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, food and being around her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to her native Uruguay and visiting family members in Italy. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. In Her Life: Family members include her daughter, Magela Maria Howard and her husband Larry of Wesley Chapel, FL; two grandchildren, Daniela (Burgueno) Wiggin of Manchester and Fernando Laplazotte of FL; one great granddaughter, Maya Rose Wiggin; five brothers, three sisters and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place on Friday October 16 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 PM following the gathering in St. Augustin Church. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery chapel.
