LITTLETON, NH -- Roscoe Rocky E. Lyndes, age 72, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Roscoe was born on August 10, 1936, a son to Richard and Myrna (McGuire) Lyndes, in Lisbon, NH.
Rocky loved and adored his grandchildren and was loved and adored back. You would always find him tinkering on his Mack truck in the dooryard, feeding the squirrels, or fixing up the Rocky Lyndes Memorial Park. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Rocky leaves his wife of 46 years, Irene Lyndes; his daughters, Linda Farnsworth and her companion, Matthew Roy of Rumney, NH, and Coleen Barr and companion, Ken Corliss of Littleton, NH; grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Robert Farnsworth, Matthew Belmore, Allison Barr, Joseph Barr, and Ashley Belmore; great-grandchildren Joshua Riach, Larrissa Bennett, and Yamil Lopez; and five brothers, Richard, David, Floyd, Kenneth, and Fred.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31st at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Newton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rockys memory to a charity of ones choice.
