Roy Januskiewicz, age 84, of Nashua, NH, died on June 9, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after short illness.
He was born in Concord, MA, on July 20, 1940, to Alphonse and Ingrid (Savolainen) Januskiewicz. He graduated from Maynard High School and joined the U.S. Air Force in August, 1958, and was discharged in 1967. He was then employed by Sanders Associates (now BAE) in Nashua, NH. He later furthered his education and graduated from Lowell Technical Institute with bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology. In 1975, he joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard and in 1980, was commissioned as a Captain, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1994 after 28 years of military service. He retired as a reliability engineer from Sanders Associates in 1998.
He was past president of the Merrimack Valley Beekeepers' Association, a member of the Pinnacle Mountain Fish and Game Club and a member of the BAE retirees' breakfast club. He enjoyed beekeeping, hunting, fishing, golf and traveling to Hawaii and Florida. He was an attendee of the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church and a member of the At Home program of the Hunt Community.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, David, and his sister-in-law, Karen, and sister-in-law, Joyce Anthony.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Priscilla (Fellows), sons, Mark, of Manchester, and Dana, of Nashua; sisters-in-law, Barbara Januskiewicz, Mary Cosgrove and Donna (Chris) Estep; several nices and nephews and extended family.
There will be a memorial service on June 20, at 2:00 o'clock at Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, 517 Boston Post Road, Merrimack, NH. Inurnment will be at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, at a later date.
