Roy G. Langlois, 50, of 64 Raymond Road, Deerfield, NH died unexpectedly on August 23, 2000, at Hale Hospital, Haverhill, Ma. He was born in Manchester on November 9, 1949, the son of Alma and the late Leon Langlois. He attended local Manchester schools and graduated from Central High in 1967. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Northeastern University in 1972, where he also earned his Master of Business Administration degree. After living in Manchester for a short while he moved to Deerfield, where he had resided since 1979. Roy was an avid skier, a pilot and enjoyed outdoor sports. He worked at several high-tech firms in this area, most recently as Director of Operations for LightChip Technologies in Salem and before that as Vice President for Operations at Shepherd Surveillance, Inc. In Manchester. Mr. Langlois was a loving and caring husband, father, son and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Besides his mother, family members include his wife, Linda (Nadeau) Langlois of Deerfield, two sons, Matthew Langlois of Newmarket and Zachary Langlois of Deerfield, a daughter Breanne Langlois of Deerfield, two sisters, Pauline Smith of Princeton, Ma., and Janet Balch of Manchester, a brother, Stephen Langlois of Deerfield, several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will he held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Roy Langlois to the Manchester High School Central Scholarship Fund, 207 Lowell St., Manchester, NH 03104.
