Rudolph Louis August, 72, of Tibbetts Hill Road, died March 20, 2004, at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH, after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 11, 1932, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Paul and Barbara (Vapolitz) Augustinovitch and has resided the past 42 years in Goffstown and wintered in Florida. Mr. August was a US Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts, retiring as Master Sergeant and was awarded several service related medals. He held memberships with the American Legion Post # 79 and the Disabled American Veterans. He worked at the New Boston Tracking Station for 20 years. He was a retired member of the International Association of Machinists and Aero Space Workers Union. Mr. August was a lifetime member of both the National Federation of Garden Clubs and the New Hampshire State Federation of Garden Clubs. Family members include his wife of 47 years, Terri (Taylor) August of Goffstown, two daughters; Barbara Philbrick of Stoddard, NH and Teresa Perry of Waterboro, Maine, two sons; Paul R. August of Danville, NH and Stephen August of Merrimack, NH, seven grandchildren, a brother, Steven Augustin of Crown Pointe, Indiana and several nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 OClock. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mathew Church in Goffstown on Thursday morning at 11 OClock. Burial will follow in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
