Rudolphe Red L. Champagne, 83, of 323 Franklin Street, died September 22, 2007 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on May 7, 1924, the son of Treffle and Anna (Corriveau) Champagne and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was a life member of the DAV. He worked for Schneider Beverages for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of Precious Blood Monastery. He was the widower of Beatrice (Paquin) Champagne who died in 1981. He was a long-timer parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. In His Life: Family members include his daughter, Suzanne White of Auburn; two sons, Richard Champagne of Lilburn, GA and Leo Champagne of Candia; three grandchildren, Eric Champagne and Shannon Champagne, both of GA and Amanda Champagne of Manchester; three great grandchildren, Taylor Champagne, Christopher Poston and Branden Poston all of GA; a sister, Laurette Fickett of Boscawen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Due to construction at Ste. Marie Church, a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday at 10:00. Urn burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA of Manchester and Southern NH, Hospice Program, 33 South Commercial Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
